Withdrawn Clients – ISO Certification

RCPL is committed to upholding the integrity and transparency of ISO certification in accordance with international accreditation standards. As part of this commitment, we maintain and publish a list of clients whose ISO certifications have been officially withdrawn by an accredited certification body.

A withdrawn status means that the organization’s ISO certification is no longer valid, effective, or recognized and has been formally terminated.

What Does “Withdrawn” Mean?

The term “withdrawn” refers to the complete cancellation of an ISO certificate, following serious non-compliance or voluntary termination. Once withdrawn, the organization:

  • Loses the right to claim, promote, or use the ISO certificate

  • Cannot participate in ISO-certified activities, tenders, or regulatory programs

  • Must remove all certification marks and references from its branding and documentation

Why ISO Certificates May Be Withdrawn

An ISO certification may be withdrawn for reasons including:

  • Repeated or unresolved non-conformities after suspension

  • Failure to undergo required surveillance or recertification audits

  • Misuse or misrepresentation of the ISO certificate or logo

  • Voluntary withdrawal by the organization (e.g., business closure, strategy change)

  • Breach of contractual or ethical obligations with the certification body

Withdrawals are carried out in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021 requirements and are documented and communicated by the certification body.

Withdrawn Client Register

To maintain trust and transparency, we maintain a Withdrawn Client Register, which may include:

  • Client Name

  • Standard (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001 & ISO 22000)

  • Certification Number

  • Certification Body

  • Date of Withdrawal

  • Reason for Withdrawal (if applicable and appropriate)

Note: This list is published in coordination with accredited certification bodies and updated regularly to reflect current statuses.

Use of Certification After Withdrawal

Clients whose certifications have been withdrawn must immediately discontinue the use of:

  • ISO logos or certification marks

  • Certificates on websites, documents, or marketing materials

  • Any claims of compliance or certified status

Failure to comply may result in legal consequences, public notices, and further regulatory action by the certification or accreditation body.

Re-Certification Support

In some cases, clients whose certifications have been withdrawn may reapply for certification. RCPL offers full support in reviewing gaps, correcting non-conformities, and reinitiating the certification process under a fresh audit with an accredited certification body.
